Let's Talk!
We aim to share mental health stories during our childhood and the effect it has on us. In raising awareness, we hope to inspire others to start finding their steps to recovery and do better for ourselves and children. We hope it will help to create more awareness for children's mental health in the generations to come.

I remember how I was told 'NO' all the time and wasn't allowed to go to the playground, sandpit or outside for fear I will be kidnapped or etc. It has affected how I think even as an adult not wanting to do things outside of my comfort zone.

When I grew up, there was not much communication between myself and my parents. I kept to my own most of time when I was a child. I don't usually talk about my feelings. As I grew up, I realised it has affected the way I communicate with my partner.

I grew up in a toxic household. My parents usually nitpicks everything about me. I am more aware of the effects it has on myself and my relationships with others. It has affected my mental health and self-esteem tremendously even til this day when I'm an adult.

I think the way our parents talk about food and our bodies really makes a difference as we're growing up. So if your mum is very concerned about dieting and weight loss, the child will pick it up. And always forcing the child to finish their food interferes with the child's ability to listen to their body and eat intuitively.
