About Me.

As a Special Needs Specialist with over a decade of experience, I’m committed to supporting not just how children learn, but how they feel while learning. I work closely with students at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore and the Ministry of Education, using compassionate, multisensory approaches that honour each child’s unique strengths. My goal is to build confidence as much as skills—creating a safe, encouraging space where learning feels possible and progress is celebrated. I also mentor future educators at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development, sharing the importance of nurturing both the mind and heart in every child’s journey.

"In diversity, there is beauty and there is strength."

Rowena

Hazi has been a great teacher for my son, teaching with compassion, patience, and positivity. She never raises her voice and uses calm methods to guide my son, even during challenging moments. Her constant encouragement, no matter how small the milestones, has boosted his confidence and made learning enjoyable. Beyond academics, her nurturing approach has positively impacted my son’s emotional well-being, creating a safe space where he feels supported and motivated. We are truly grateful for Hazi’s dedication and her focus on both education and mental health.

Sophie

Our son had quadriplegic cerebral palsy and was non verbal, so Hazi’s main responsibilities were to meet his care needs, act as his communication partner using his alternative augmentative communication device and to work with the teaching team and school staff to structure and adapt learning activities for our son which made them accessible and maximised his learning opportunities. As part of her role, Hazi collaborated and communicated well with the teacher staff and therapists at our son’s school. Her approach allowed the team as a whole to align on learning objectives.   She also modified classroom resources to cater to our son’s learning and abilities and was always mindful of making adaptations which would maximise access.   Through all of the above, Hazi was able to positively impact Leo’s progress at school both from a well-being (social and emotional) perspective but also from an academic perspective, with a key focus on literacy.

Nurul

Hazi took time to talk to us and understand about our ASD girl’s characteristics, challenges and how we would like her to help.   She was very supportive and unphased even when our girl started screaming at her and getting worked up. She assured us we had to build her stamina up to sitting long minutes at desk in preparation for primary school.   She took us through her class process and eventually our girl took to her routine finally!   We worked together with Hazi to support what her mainstream school needed from her. Thank you for being part of her progress!

Aisha

Before therapy, my son struggled with reading and felt frustrated all the time. Since working with Hazirah, we’ve seen a complete transformation—not just in his learning, but in his confidence. He now picks up books on his own and even reads to his little sister. We’re beyond grateful for the support and encouragement he’s received.

David and Lina

Hazirah truly understands how to reach children in a way that makes them feel safe and seen. Our daughter was anxious about school, but with Hazirah’s patient and creative methods, she’s now thriving. The progress she’s made in just a few months is amazing. We finally feel hopeful again.

Marcus

Educational therapy with Hazirah has been life-changing—not just for our child, but for our whole family. It’s not just about reading or numbers. It’s about helping our son believe in himself. He’s happier, more engaged, and excited to learn. That means everything to us.

James and Sarah

Hazirah didn’t just work with our son—she equipped us as parents with the tools to support him at home. Her approach is warm, respectful, and incredibly effective. We feel empowered, informed, and truly supported on this journey

Mei Ling

Our daughter had a hard time managing her emotions during learning. Hazirah helped her not only academically, but also with emotional regulation. She now approaches challenges with more calm and confidence. It’s been a game-changer for our home life too
